while not the best friend you'll ever have, she'll always try to be there for her friends if they need it. she's exceptionally good at getting people to stop moping around and do what they need to, but that probably goes back to her bossy nature. however, when it comes to actually cheering people up for the long term, she's not really the best at that. jac is the type of girl you go to for a temporary fix, and she will do her best to make just that happen. she can do temporary fixes - it's the more permanent ones involving complicated things like emotions that she can't do. emotions are much harder to control, and she prefers not to try.
she goes for what she wants and she will not take no for an answer, which might actually be the reason she ended up as the manager for live tonight. she's stubborn, doesn't like to be told she's wrong, and she also has a talent for making annoying people disappear. jac is sarcastic more often than not, but she does have her soft side, the side that normally only emerges if you're part of the band or if you're just adorable. honestly, she has a huge soft spot for anyone that even looks young. nevertheless, just because she's got a soft spot for someone doesn't mean she'll take things easy on them. jac takes things easy on no one. she firmly believes that "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen".

history;; of kenneth and celeste sheridan's two children, jac is the youngest and the only girl. ashton, her brother, is four years older than her, and he has never been nearly as ambitious as his baby sister. so, really, jac was a spoiled little brat growing up. her brother was mostly okay with that, because it meant that all eyes weren't on him, so he could do just about whatever he wanted and get away with it. the young girl, on the other hand, reveled in the attention, loving every moment of it. she excelled in school, was in a few after-school things (like the debate team, which would forever be her favorite club), and she even took up playing the drums at some point when she was nine years old. she was an overachiever if anyone had ever seen one, and she still had so much time for everything else. jac had her friends to hang out with on the weekends, and she even got herself a boyfriend when she was fifteen.
his name was gabriel, and he was absolutely perfect. he didn't follow or agree with everything that came out of jac's mouth, like so many of her friends did; he challenged her opinions, he argued with her, and she loved every second of it. after all, she'd enjoyed debating about things from a young age, and he gave her the opportunity to practice doing so even more. they dated for two years, and things were great. they didn't have the most serious relationship ever, and both of them liked it better that way. they had occasional moments where things were mushy and lovey, but most of the time, they joked around and teased each other, sometimes exchanged insulting names, but they knew neither of them meant it, so that meant it was okay. they didn't even have to state they didn't mean it, they just.. knew. and they knew they loved each other. so when they began to sleep together, it wasn't that much of a big deal. they were each other's firsts, so that first time was huge, but after that, it was just natural. it just felt right.
jac knew she loved gabriel. she did. but that didn't mean that she wanted to be pregnant with his baby after one of their nights together when she was seventeen. she couldn't be pregnant with a baby. she was going places; after high school, she was going to college and become one of the best lawyers the united states had ever seen, and a baby would mess that up. so, she couldn't be pregnant. but no matter how much she tried to deny it, she was, and her parents were far from impressed with their star daughter. as a matter of fact, they kicked her out of the house, told her to go and live with the punk that had knocked her up. now this is the part where she tells gabriel and he leaves like any other teenage boy would... except jac had told him before she'd told her parents, and he'd promised to stick around, because he loved her. the baby was just them starting their family a bit too early for their liking. he was fine with it, and he stayed with her, and jac was, admittedly, much more relieved than she'd thought she might be. she couldn't stay with him, though. while gabriel's parents hadn't kicked him out, they still weren't thrilled that he'd knocked up his girlfriend, and she wasn't allowed to stay with them, either.
that left jac trying to find somewhere to stay, even if it was only temporary, which, in turn, led her to her to her then-21-year-old brother. he was still relatively close to her old home, so gabriel could still easily visit her if he'd like, and besides, ashton really didn't mind taking her in, which surprised jac. she'd always assumed he didn't really like her. they didn't get along great - they hardly ever talked when they lived together - and she'd always been sure that he was jealous of the attention that she received from their parents. maybe that was true, but nonetheless, he took her in when she needed it, and for that, jac owes him her life. she owes him even more than that because he put up with her when gabriel finally left. he was 17, still not legal, so he couldn't flat-out refuse, and his parents declared that they were taking a trip over the summer to greece. jac didn't want him to go, and he didn't seem as if he wanted to, either, but there was nothing either of them could do, so gabriel left and jac stayed with ashton. a few months after he'd left, jac gave birth to their beautiful daughter, grace ashley sheridan, who was surprisingly healthy. she picked the names since she and gabriel hadn't actually discussed what to name their child before he'd left. but the summer came and went, and he still didn't return. jac assumed he'd gotten tired of her, decided he liked greece better, and just stayed there. it didn't bother her. not at all.
she couldn't stay there free of charge, though. well, she could, but the back of her mind told her, very firmly, that she had better find some way to pay her brother back. the young blonde ended up telling him that she'd gotten a job at a restaurant, but she never mentioned which restaurant, and he never really thought to ask. of course she didn't get a job at a restaurant, though - that wouldn't pay nearly what she needed. instead, jac made some friends that knew how to do things that weren't necessarily legal. for example, she made a friend that could change all of her records to make it so that she was eighteen in the eyes of the world, even if she was still seventeen. because of this, she was able to get a job somewhere that paid much more than waitressing in some restaurant: the adult movie industry. it was a scary place, that was for sure. it was a place in which jac changed. she was eighteen in the eyes of everyone there, the young one, the newbie. she went by shay storms around there. in the credits, that was how her name appeared, and that was how her "co-workers" knew her. sharing her real name wasn't something that jac did with these people. why should she? she was above them, only doing this for the money it would get her. she had to pay ashton back. eventually, she realized that she wasn't the only one in the industry that was only working there for the money, which made her a little less disgusted by her co-workers. a little. nevertheless, she still didn't like the job. at 23, she left it for good, and they let her, somewhat reluctantly. "shay storms" had become a bit of a sensation, but jac was done with that chapter of her life, and shay was left in the dust.
jac had enough money to support herself and her daughter by now, so she moved out out of the house that she, grace, ashton, and ashton's fiancee, rose, had been occupying and moved into her own apartment, still in pembroke. for some reason, she just couldn't bring herself to leave the place, even if so much had happened there, and not all of it good. she just couldn't. she was working in some random record shop that she can't even remember the name of today when this group of four boys was playing. well, technically, they crept over to the instruments and began playing them. if jac's boss had been around, he probably would have thrown them out and told them never to return again, but jac wasn't her boss. she'd listened to enough music to know when someone had talent, and, taking charge as jac does, she asked them if they needed a manager, not giving herself time to think about the consequences that this spontaneous move could have. they'd thought about it for a moment, deliberated (very briefly) as a band, but eventually they came to the conclusion that, yes, a manager would be nice. jac offered herself up for the job, and, just like that, she was live tonight's new manager. now she's on tour with them, and her daughter is staying with ashton and rose while her mother tries to make sure everything is perfect for her other babies: the boys of live tonight.
