Toby ran a hand through his hair. He was tired, and hungover. It was usual for him to be hungover, but at two in the afternoon, his hang over was usually residing by now. Either that or he was drunk again. But today it was neither. Instead he’d been left with a dull ache in his head and blood shot eyes which he could only hope would disappear before he had to go on stage. He didn’t mind being intoxicated after his performance and even sometimes during his performance, but being hung over sucked. He needed his energy to give the crowd what they’d came to see.
Nevertheless he had time to sort himself out, and find Samantha. The two hadn’t really been close for a long time, granted it was his fault but it was in the past and he didn’t really get why she’d been so pissed at him. Surely the girl could get over it and trust him by now? You’d think. He was making his way towards the café where he’d agreed to meet her; maybe a coffee would wake him up and kick start him into wanting to play on stage.
Tobias didn’t usually have problems with women because there was an expectation that he was a player and he didn’t date. Not many people could really believe that he’d stayed with Lexi for a year, although the way things had ended with them had only been far too predictable. People had been surprised it hadn’t happened earlier; but it was his loss really. Just like it was Samantha’s loss. Kind of. They’d been good together in a totally physical sense, but she’d broke it off all because he showed someone a video of them together. He couldn’t really see why she was so bothered. She’d given him permission to record it, and his friend had stumbled across the video accidently at first… it wasn’t exactly his fault.
He pushed his hand into the pocket of his jeans to retrieve his phone. He checked the time and pushed it back into his pocket. He was running a little early which was unusual for him. Tobias opened the door, and a small bell rang to announce his arrival. He’d been in this café an awful lot lately, mainly because he’d seduced the girl behind the counter. She was a pretty blonde with a nice rack and a small waist. She’d done the trick for a few nights, but then, like always he’d got bored. Of course she’d expected more, and like always he’d let her down gently… sort of.
Of course she scowled at him as he made his way to his usual table, and he smirked as she quickly disappeared out of view; promptly taking her lunch break while he was in the café. Girls were so amusing. He ordered a large latte and sat waiting, clock watching for his ex best friend to arrive.

Samantha had no idea what she was doing. She was currently sitting on her little bunk, still wrapped up in her towel, staring at her phone. She had just talked to her ex best friend, Tobias. She hadn’t really talked to him in years and he all of a sudden calls her out of the blue to have lunch. Sure, she’d still talk to him online or whatever, but she hadn’t seen him. She was surprised to find out that he was actually on the tour. Specifically part of Live Tonight. She had found that out through Will. The two were friends and she liked talking to the silly Hispanic. The way he spoke always amused her. But finding out that Toby was in his band, all hell broke loose for her. Everything she had worked so hard to push back in her head had come flooding back.
The boy used to be her best friend. They were closer then close. People always thought they were a couple because they were always inseparable, but they were just friends. She had trusted him with her life and everything dear to her. Then that night happened. She had finally wanted to give up her v card but she didn’t want to give it to someone who would most likely use her. She ended up giving it to Toby. Who wouldn’t? They were best friends and practically shared everything. They trusted each other, so she wanted to give the one thing she held dear to him and no one else. And that started their little…sex relationship. They acted like a couple, but weren’t actually together and Samantha didn’t mind that.
After a while of them sleeping together, Toby had suggested taping it. She had been hesitant, but let it happen, only asking him to not share it with anyone. She never verbally shared what she did with him to anyone. When she found out that his friend had seen it, she was mortified. The one thing she asked him not to let happen, happened. After that she ended their “relationship” and their friendship. She couldn’t trust him, so why was she going to be friends with him? She ran her fingers through her wet hair and let out a breath. Truth be told, she missed him. As a friend, a bit as a lover, but mostly as a friend. She rubbed her face and stood up. She told him that she’d meet him for lunch. She was sure he wanted to talk, maybe catch up. She was hoping that he’d grovel and apologize. It was going to take a while, but she wanted his friendship again. Her new friends could measure up to her relationship with him.
She dried off and pulled a simple black dress on, along with some knee-high tights and black heels. She blow-dried her hair and just brushed through it, not really doing anything special to it. Small curls formed at the base and she just tossed them over her shoulder. Adding some eye makeup, she looked herself over and let out a sigh. If she didn’t see him now, who knows what he’d do. Probably come bother her on the bus. She didn’t want to be alone with him. Not yet. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, she always cared about him and would probably end up in bed with him. She wasn’t about to let that happen. Not now. Grabbing her bag, she threw her phone in it and headed out of the bus, walking in the direction of the café.
She was there in just a matter of minutes. She was sort of in a rush to just get this all done and over with. She slowed her pace as the café came into view. Pausing, she took a deep breath and let it out. Sorting her thoughts quickly, she opened the door and went inside. It didn’t take her long to find him. She glanced at the clock. She was on time, she always was. Tucking some hair behind her ear, she headed over to the table and sat across from him. “Hello, Toby,” she said, simply. This was going to be an interesting afternoon.

Tobias sat with his hands cupped around the porcelain mug which held his latte. It was something people done when they were cold or in need of comfort. It was something he done when he was hung over. He glanced over to a table of nearby fan girls who kept stealing glances at him and giggling. He rolled his eyes. As much as he loved his fans he could really do without stalkers, especially when he wasn’t particularly in a fantastic place right now. But the door opened, and he heard the familiar bell as she walked in. She headed straight over and he felt butterflies flip in his stomach. He felt sick, and he knew it wasn’t just last night’s take away, alcohol and drugs reverberating over his digestive system. He hadn’t realised how incredibly awkward he’d feel when he saw her; when they actually met. It was something completely different the times he’d been off his face and seen her across the room; that wasn’t awkward- that was avoidance. But right now, as she sat across from him, and spoke; he felt anxious. More anxious than he’d been in a long time.
He ran a hand through his hair; a quirk he done whenever he was nervous and he had pretty much every reason to be. ”Hey Sammy.” He greeted her with a smile, his hands fidgeting a little before he took a drink from the hot liquid and stupidly burnt his tongue. ”Oww.” He moaned, shooting a glare at the fan girls who were obviously trying to listen into their conversation. He ignored them. He didn’t need extra pressure on himself, when he was already under so much by the fact that Samantha had turned up in the first place. Toby drummed his fingers across the table and laughed awkwardly, ”Yeah so this is awkward…” He stated making the situation a little worse; before he ran both of his hands through his hair. He took a deep breath and composed himself before smiling at her. ”You look good.” He commented, as he allowed his eyes to travel down her chest before his cheeks flushed.
Tobias leant back in his chair and glanced at the clock before looking back at Samantha. ”Yeah so I figured it was time we got over this feud and were friends again. It’s stupid really.” He complained before leaning both of his hands behind his head and leaning back in his chair. ”I mean, we were too good of friends to throw it away because of a stupid video.” Toby stated, coming across almost as a bit arrogant. He quickly realised and leant forward resting his arms on the table. ”I mean I know it wasn’t just that… and I’m sorry; you know I am but seriously… can we not just forget it happened?” Toby asked her as he reached across the table and took her hand. He half expected her to pull it away.
He let go of her and took a drink, pleased that it had cooled. He glanced around and lowered his voice before he spoke. ”And let’s face it Samantha- we were awesome together… you know… in the sack.” He added hoping no one on the surrounding tables could hear him. Not that it was particularly busy, and it wasn’t like his reputation was clean and shiny- it was too late for that now, but he was at least trying to keep his business away from the press and fans. He waited for her to answer and as he glanced into her beautiful eyes; he heard the door open. The blonde waitress walked in and scowled at him. Tobias cocked an eyebrow before rolling his eyes, turning back to Samantha. ”So what’d you say doll face, we gonna let bygones be bygones?”

When Sam sat down in front of him, she felt a little nervous. She wasn’t going to let it show, obviously, but it was there. She hadn’t actually seen him. When he said hello back, she gave him a small smile. She leaned back in her chair and let her leg bounce under the table. As he drank his latte, she ordered a caramel frappe. She wasn’t as stupid as he could be. So she wasn’t about to look like an idiot and burn herself. She sat quietly as she waited for her drink. She glanced around and cocked her eyebrow at the table of giggling girls. Fans were so annoying. She was so glad she wasn’t a band member. She looked back at him when he spoke and rolled her eyes. ‘No shit,’ she thought. She smiled and thanked the girl when she got her drink and took a sip. It was so yummy. He spoke, and she took another sip. “Yeah, modeling does that,” she said, setting the cup down.
Her fingers combed through her hair at his words. Her eyebrows furrowed at one word. “Stupid?” She took a deep breath, calming herself. “Toby...” She paused when he kept talking. “No, Toby… You can forget it happened all you want, but I can’t.” As he took her hand, she did exactly what he was expecting her to do…she pulled it out of his grip. “I let you do it on one condition…no one sees it. And regardless of how it happened, someone saw it. You might as well have put it online for everyone to see.” She couldn’t believe that he was trying to brush this whole thing off like it wasn’t important. It was almost like he just broke something of hers with a past and just bought her a new one. It wasn’t easily fixed like that and he couldn’t see it. She wanted to hit him, but she wasn’t about to make a scene.
When he took a drink, she did the same. This was definitely not going over the way she was hoping it would. She continued to drink, even as he stopped and continued to talk. She scoffed at his words, coughing as her frappe went down the wrong tube. “Toby…be that as it may…that has nothing to do with anything. We could’ve been awesome together in other things, but you broke my trust when that video was seen by someone else.” When the door opened and Toby looked over, Sam’s eyes followed and her eyebrow rose as well. She shook it off and looked back at Toby just as he looked back at her. Her eyes widened slightly at his words. “No. Toby. Bygones are not going to be bygones. It’s not going to be this simple, okay? You are seriously going to have to think of something better then this.”

Tobias smiled as she took a sip from her drink, she was his very best friend; the girl he’d relied on for so long and now they were so far apart- he had to make things right with her. That meant swallowing his pride and apologising. It wasn’t his best trait; apologising- mainly because he hated being in the wrong, and acknowledging he was in the wrong was even worse than someone else pointing it out. ”Yeah well, maybe I ought to take up modelling… although I doubt I’d really pass for a model. Haven’t got the nose.” He smirked trying to make the situation a bit more light hearted. He’d always had a complex about his nose, it really wasn’t the best nose in the world to start with and when he was punched a few year back, in his opinion it became a really bad nose and he’d wanted a nose job ever since. He sighed and took another drink before looking up at her again. Now where to start?
Well of course, Tobias had started at the wrong part, and in the wrong way. He could tell by the way her eyebrows furrowed but yet he kept speaking, verbal diahorrea or whatever the saying was. ”Okay…” Was all he could muster as she told him she couldn’t forget what happened. She pulled her hand from his and he was very aware he was being watched. He turned to look at the fan girls and glared at them which made them look away. ”Baby girl, don’t do this to me… we can get over this. I’m sorry Sammy… I didn’t put it online. I wouldn’t do that to you.” He told her as he leant across the table a bit more; his voice hushed as he tried not to make a scene. He sighed and dropped his forehead to the table dramatically. ”You know I’m no good at this… I’m no good with words… so I don’t know what to say… but I miss you like crazy.” He told her honestly as he lifted his head from the table and found her eyes.
Tobias wasn’t exactly sure what he could do to get her back and to get her to trust him again but truth be told he wasn’t the type of guy to give up easily once he set his sights on something… or someone. ”I know… and I’m the biggest jerk on the planet. It was an accident, I wouldn’t have shown anyone that… I didn’t mean to hurt you.” He told her, his cheeks flushing a little as he bit his lip. He was nervous because he’d recently started thinking about her again and he could only wonder if something else could have gone on between them. ”Well what can I do to make it up to you? Anything you want… you know I’m sorry, and I’m grovelling like an idiot in front of those nosy morons, and you know I don’t make a fool out of myself for nothing.” He told her hitching his thumb to his side where the fan girls were. He really didn’t care right now, he just wanted to make things right with Samantha.
Toby brought both of his hands to his face and sighed, running both of his hands through his hair in frustration. ”Sam. Taking your virginity was one of the highlights of my life; not because I was your first or any of that crap; but because you trusted me and liked me enough to… anyway, before that you were just my best friend in the world, but after that… you were like… I don’t know, but we were so close. And now were not and it’s so shitty. I need you back in my life Sammy.” He started and tripped over his own words before he sighed disappointed in himself.

it doesn't matter what i say, don't matter what i doevery little thing reminds me of youit gets harder every day, i don't know what to do* * * * * * Samantha couldn’t help but roll her eyes. It was bad enough that she agreed to come. She didn’t need to try and lighten the mood. Especially since he wasn’t that good at it. He was just making the whole thing more awkward than it was when she first showed up. Sure, the boy sitting across from her used to be her best friend, and she just wanted him back, but it was really hard for her. She couldn’t deny that she missed him. They had so many good times together. Even before the slept together. They had such a history and she really didn’t have that with anyone else on the tour. Maybe a little here and there. Of course, there were a couple guys after Toby, but they could never replace her friendship with him. There was too much between them and he wasn’t one to be replaced so easily, although she was working on it. Jak and Kam were as close as she was going to get.
She knew that he knew he started the wrong way . She always made sure that whoever she was talking to knew they fucked up. She rolled her eyes again and let out a breath. “Enough with the pet names, Toby. Okay? You’re lucky I’m even here talking to you. And “we’re” not getting over anything. I’m sure you’ve gotten over it and now you’re just trying to get me to get over it while completely ignoring my feelings about the situation.” She watched as he dropped his head and shook hers as he spoke. “Yeah, I know you’re no good at doing this. You just really need to think about it, because I’m not forgiving you easily. And to be honest, I miss you too. I’m not gonna lie about that. You were my best friend and no one can replace that. But you just need to stop thinking it’ll be over quick.”
She sighed. “You shouldn’t have had the camera out in the open,” she said, a bit of anger coming out. She kept herself calm so it wouldn’t make a scene, but it was enough to show that she was still extremely angry with him. “It should’ve either been put away or left with me. Simple as that.” She raked her left hand through her hair, and let her eyes glance across the café. The obnoxious group of girls were still there, but she wasn’t bothered by them anymore. She took another sip of her frappe and thought for a moment when he asked if there was anything he could do. Well…there wasn’t really anything she could think of right now, but she was sure she’d eventually think of something. She set the cup down and interlocked her fingers as she rested her hands on the table and leaned forward, bringing her face a bit closer to him. “Do you still have the recording?” she asked. She looked at him with a stern look. “I want it, if you do. I should’ve taken it from you when I found out what happened.” She kept her serious face on and leaned back in her chair. “Right now…that’s all I want. And you can continue to grovel like an idiot. At least until I think I can forgive you.” That sounded good to her. For now, at least.
“Yeah…I trusted you Toby. Just like I trusted you with that recording. I trusted you with a lot and you broke it with one stupid mistake. A mistake that shouldn’t have happened if you were smarter about it. That’s what happens when people do things like tape themselves. The girl’s become a nervous wreck and the guys get cocky and stupid.” She paused and tugged on the end of some hair she had subconsciously started to twirl. “We were always really close,” she started, quietly, her eyes falling to the table in front of them. “Giving you that just made us a lot closer and I liked it. I was glad I could give it to someone that wouldn’t run away after because I’d get a little clingy. And I really liked that. I was the only girl that didn’t have to complain about a guy that used her just to pop her cherry and move on with life ‘cause he got what he was after.” Tears filled her eyes as she thought about it. She closed her eyes quickly and took a deep breath. She had cried over it enough in the past, she wasn’t about to start again. She ran her hands down her face, wiping her eyes in the process and picked her cup back up, drinking more. “You just need to be patient and not be an asshole. Simple as that.” She didn't know how plainer she could put it.

Toby could tell that his attempt to lighten the mood hadn’t been particularly well received. He smiled weakly as she rolled her eyes and mentally kicked himself. He was so bad at these situations, but it seemed they were becoming more frequent which was the worrying thing. His penis was constantly getting him in to trouble, mainly because it was like he didn’t have a conscience. He’d promise girls the world, especially fan girls; get them into bed and then be gone before they woke up. Of course like most people on the tour he had one or two girls who he was regularly hooking up with, but that didn’t mean their feelings were safe either. He was a jerk, and that really was no surprise to Toby.
Tobias sighed and nodded, like a child that had just been scolded by their headmaster. He looked down to the floor and bit his bottom lip, before looking back at Samantha. He’d always given her pet names when they’d been friends, and it hadn’t been a problem but it dawned on him again, that they weren’t really friends. Not like they used to and so there were different rules. Different rules in a different game, one that he didn’t know how to play. ”Sorry.” He muttered as she accused him of ignoring her feelings. He smiled a little as she said she missed him, so he was pleased that he was kind of back on the radar, even if it was just a little bit. ”I’m not ignoring your feelings… it’s just I don’t know how to talk about mine, so I just don’t convey things well.” He told her leaning his head onto his hand and sighing. He was thinking, he was trying he just didn’t know what else to do. ”I know I done the worst thing ever… I wish I could take it all away.” He looked at her honestly and shook his head, not really knowing what else to do.
He looked at her and nodded, ”I know Samantha. I know. I’ve been over this in my head like a million times!” He grew frustrated but not at her, more at himself. ”I had it out to record a skating stunt- & I didn’t think. I didn’t show anyone on purpose. You think I’d honestly do that to you?” He urged, frustration and anger lingering in his tone as he quickly ruffled his hair in anger. He watched as Samantha took a drink and he mimicked her actions; trying to calm himself down. Tobias frowned a little as she asked him if he had the recording and for a moment or two he couldn’t really remember; he hadn’t looked at it for a long long time. ”Yeah I think I do… but you know, I don’t use it… not that I don’t want to but, you know, I know that would be wrong so… obviously I haven’t looked at it since we made it.” He stumbled across his words and his cheeks flushed a little. He nodded his head, figuring that she was most likely to seek revenge on him or something. ”Your not gonna post it on the net or anything are you? My reputations already shot.” He sighed, knowing that things weren’t fantastic in relation to his reputation with the press. ”Okay… I can do that, and you can do with it what you like because I deserve it… I’m such a freaking idiot.” He complained shaking his head a little.
Tobias listened to her as she emphasized the word trust. He knew he was completely untrustworthy; so much so it’d probably be written on his gravestone. He felt really bad about it all, but he hadn’t really thought it had actually hurt her as much as it obviously had. ”I’ve always been cocky and stupid. But never with you. Samantha, you can trust me again. I’ve grown up. I’ve learnt not to make video tapes, and not to get close to anyone; since it hurts like hell when they leave you.” He told her as he thought of his friendship with Samantha and how it ended, which made him think of the only other girl he’d ever been really close to; only in a different way. Lexi; but he screwed that one up to. He hadn’t been close to anyone else since. He didn’t trust himself enough to do things right. She spoke about their friendship and how he’d taken her virginity and he smiled a little because having someone think that sort of thing about him, happened rarely. ”I loved it. Everything about it, and you weren’t clingy. You know if you’d have gone off with some guy; I’d have only beat the crap out of him if he hurt you. I’ve been doing it to myself for a while now.” He told her before he realised that tears had filled her eyes. He hated seeing her cry; it just wasn’t nice, and it felt like something inside was pulling at him; tearing his organs apart when he watched her. He stood up and moved around the table; he didn’t care how she’d respond to him. He just needed to hold her, and so once her cup was back on the table, he wrapped his arms around her from behind and rested his chin on her shoulder; so he could whisper into hear ear and kiss her cheek. ”I’m being patient, and I’m trying not to be myself… just give me a chance Sam.” He could smell her shampoo and he planted a small kiss on her cheek before returning to his seat which was scooted closer to her.
Tobias took a drink from his cup and looked at her. ”Samantha, could we like go see a movie, or grab a pizza or something and hang out… you know, just the two of us.” He asked her, as he set the cup back on the table. ”Let me make it up to you. My treat, we can do whatever you want to do… “ He suggested, biting back a comment of something relating to a sexual innuendo. He couldn’t help it, it was just in his nature; but he knew it wouldn’t have gone down well at all. So instead he waited patiently for her answer.

Sam had spotted his smile when she said that she had missed him too. Hell, she was happy when he told her that he missed her, but that wasn’t the point. “Well maybe you should try it every now and then. It helps. Guys need to stop being so…stubborn when it comes to bloody feelings,” she stated. She hated that they all thought it’ll make them gay if they talked about their feelings. Ignorant bastards. Girls just wanted to know what was going on in their heads so they could help with difficult situations. That was it. It wasn’t that hard of a request. She nodded at his words, “Yeah, well you can’t. What’s done is done. We can’t go back and change it.” If there was a way they could…she would change her mind completely about making the tape. Or even, make sure she had it in her possession.
“Who knows. Guys always have their moments and like to show off things they have. I know you wouldn’t have done it on purpose, but still. It happened. You couldn’t have like…maybe even deleted it, or used someone else’s camera?” She believed him when he said he just didn’t think. Guys were good for that too. Not thinking. She wanted to be friends again. But she couldn’t just forget like he wanted her to. As much as she tried over the years, she was able to forget just enough and something would remind her of him and all the memories would come flooding back and it would put her into a funk. Jak would always fix it, but everything was always still there.
When he said he did, she smiled slightly. Good. “Oh well…it’s a good thing you didn’t do that. Because that would just be terrible,” she said, rolling her eyes again. Her eyebrow rose at his question. “Yes Toby, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I’m going to take it and plaster it all over the internet so your rep can be shot even more,” she snapped, her words dripping in sarcasm. “You do realize that mine with be just as ruined if I do that…right? Wanker,” she muttered. She smirked contently when he said he’d continue groveling. “Good. That’s all I ask. For now.” Just so he’d know that he wasn’t getting off easy.
“I meant in general, Toby, not how you are all the time with other people. Because I’ve seen you be cocky and stupid with others and you always look like a fool. And just because you say I can trust you, doesn’t mean I’m going to be able to. It’s going to take a while before we can build that up again. What we had before…no longer exists.” She stopped for a moment and just sat there. “I know it does. I’m never with anyone any longer than a few months.” She was hoping that it would be longer if her and Cale ever started to date. She could tell he liked her, but she wasn’t about to make him rush into something he might not be ready for. He couldn’t open up to her yet. She was planning on working on that first. She looked back over at him when he spoke again. A small smile formed on her lips. He was right. He would’ve had to kick their ass if she didn’t sleep with him for her first time. He made it better for her. He was kind about it and let it happen at her pace, not like random guys that would do it to get it over with.
When he came around the table, she tensed up slightly. She really wasn’t in the mood to be cozy with him, but she knew she wasn’t going to be able to stop it, so she just sat there as he sat next to her and wrapped his arms around her. She hated herself, but she could feel the bit of butterflies in her stomach when he did. It wasn’t because she was all of a sudden getting feelings for him, she just hadn’t had him so close to her in a while, it was almost new to her. She just let out a soft sigh as he spoke into her ear. Her eyes closed and when he kissed her cheek, the spot felt like it was on fire. He always knew how to get to her like that.
She had to take another deep breath to compose herself as he moved back to his seat. Her eyes widened slightly when he asked if they could do something together. Her eyebrow rose again. She knew what could possibly happen if the two of them were alone together. Especially if they went to the movies or something like that. There was no way they were going to be alone together. “Pizza sounds lovely,” she said, after a moment. She knew she’d cave eventually. She didn’t know how much she’d be able to hold back if they ended up in a compromising situation. That wasn’t going to be able to happen. She’d make Cale help her with that.

Toby nodded as she complained about guys in general hiding their feelings. He never used to be so particular about his feelings, not until his friendship ended with Sam. He didn’t want to tell her the truth about how he had felt, and how he was feeling now. It was embarrassing and Tobias was particularly proud; he didn’t want to be laughed at or shot down in a blaze of glory. ”I know but it just doesn’t work like that. Talking about my feelings will make me vulnerable, and I don’t want to be vulnerable Sam.” He stated bluntly, it wasn’t like she could even handle his truth; not that she’d ever had the opportunity to. ”You wouldn’t have done it would you? I mean if we could go back in time and change it, you wouldn’t have slept with me at all would you?” He asked her curiously, trying to figure out if she regretted everything about them or just the fact that he showed his friend the tape.
She tried to give him options of how he could have improved the situation but things were just so fragmented he couldn’t change things now; no matter how much he wanted to. ”Yeah I know; I should have, but I didn’t think. You know I was into my camera a lot back then… “ He sighed, he’d gone through a stage where he’d considered photography as a career pathway for himself, but music had always been his first love. But at that time he was always taking pictures and recording things… the end of their relationship was a permanent memory. He had no idea why she was being so calm about things when she was obviously still hurting about the whole incident. He’d maybe feel a bit better about it if she screamed at him.
Tobias shook his head, realising that he was just digging himself a big grave in which she’d burry him once their conversation had ended. He wished he could just stop and not offer his opinion; keep his mouth shut but it was just impossible. She snapped at him and called him a wanker. Okay so he deserved it, and really he didn’t have a come back for her, he couldn’t afford to have one. ”Fair enough. Either that or it’d make our careers… you know like Paris Hilton’s sex video. Didn’t that make her even more famous? Not that I want that to happen… it was taken for us, no one else, and I don’t wanna share it.” He started, failed and then tried to redeem himself. ”Sam, just ignore my rambling; your making me nervous.” He told her honestly; well she wanted to know his feelings.
He rolled his eyes; this girl knew how to kick a guy when he’s down. ”Thanks. So I look like a fool. Nice.” He was a bit offended and he glanced away from her and sighed deeply. He thought about what she said and he frowned curiously, ”Why are you only with someone a few months? Because of me?” He asked her curiously, wondering if he’d totally ruined her trust in the whole of man kind or just him. He smiled as she smiled as he spoke about when they were first together. It was really intimate and really, it was the first time sex had ever meant anything to him. He’d lost his virginity to a girl a year older than him who had used and abused him; it wasn’t exactly a fantastic memory, nor was it something to write home about, but he’d made sure that Samantha’s hadn’t been like that.
He knew she was tense and didn’t want him to hold her but he had to do it because he missed her. They had been electric together; even just as friends, and he’d often wondered what things would have been like if they’d taken things to the next level and actually dated. She looked somewhat surprised as he asked her to do something with him. He didn’t care what it was as long as they were hanging out. He just wanted it to be just the two of them, and so when she confirmed she’d have pizza with him he smirked. ”Cool, I figured we could maybe grab a take away and some drinks and hang out in the signing tent after hours. It doesn’t get used, and the seats are pretty comfy… then we’d have a bit of privacy to talk properly. You know, since I’m aware that idiots could be listening to us and quoting us on the net like the losers they are.” He suggested, figuring he’d make sure he had her favourite drinks and he’d wear something that she’d bought him. Get her thinking about what they were missing out on. Not that he was planning on seducing her, but a friendship would be a nice start.

Sam sighed and rubbed the top of her arm. He had a point. Spilling feelings always made you feel naked. But letting them out always made her feel better. “I know you don’t, Toby. I was just…thinking out loud. Sorry.” The was definitely not going the way she wanted. She looked at her drink and played with the straw. She glanced back at him when he spoke again. “What? No. No,” she said, shaking her head. “I wouldn’t change that, Toby. I would never change that. I’d do it again, like I did,” she said with a small smile. “I would just …probably not let the tape thing happen. That was stupid to do in the first place.”
She tucked some hair behind her ear. She knew that. He loved playing with his camera. “Yeah, I know. You got me into it too,” she smiled. She had always been so proud of being a photographer, and Toby was always into music. She was glad that he taught her the ropes so she had something to do other than modeling. Not that she didn’t love modeling. She just knew that if it was all that she was doing right now, she’d probably kill herself. It could get hectic in the modeling world, so she was glad she had something to fall back on when she needed a break from it all. She knew she was never going to not have a connection with the boy sitting with her. This was going to be harder for her then she originally realized.
When she snapped at him, she felt a little better. Especially since she wasn’t about to yell at him in the middle of the café. If they were somewhere where there weren’t nosy fan girls around, she’d most likely tear him a new one, but since they were here, she was keeping it civil. So getting that bit out made her feel better. “Yeah, but I’m not an idiot like Paris Hilton and I don’t need to exploit myself in a crude way like that. Besides, no one needs to see me having sex with anyone. Regardless of who it is.” She wasn’t about to tell him about her photoshoot with playboy, that would just defeat everything she just said. Except that’s a lot more tasteful then sex tapes. When he said to ignore his ramblings because she was nervous, she wasn’t sure what to say. She wasn’t trying to make him feel nervous. She was just trying to get her point across.
She scowled slightly. “Yeah, when you acted cocky and stupid, you look like a fool.” He really was an idiot sometimes. Before it used to be cute. Maybe because she was so close to him, she just never cared or bothered to see it. She still didn’t care, but it was a little important not to be so ignorant right now. At his question, she shrugged. “I don’t know…maybe. The longest one I was with was three months, but it was just for the summer. Other than that…I usually stuck with one night stands. But not all the time. Just…every now and then.” She didn’t turn into a slut or anything. She wasn’t like that. “But it wasn’t because of you. It usually just didn’t really work out.” That was a good excuse.
When he smirked, she couldn’t help but feel a small bit of uneasiness in her gut. She wasn’t sure why, but something wasn’t sitting right. But she smiled at him. “Sounds good. When do you want to do this?” She had to figure out if she had always planned on wanting to bug Cale. She liked bothering him and she knew he liked her bothering him. Plus, if she was going to be alone with Toby, she knew it wasn’t going to end very well, so she was thinking of texting Cale a little later that night to come and get her. She really liked Cale and didn’t want to risk jeopardizing something that could be. She drank the rest of her frappe, and set some money on the table for it. “So…are we done? I sorta want to get that tape,” she said, brushing some hair out of her eyes. She just wanted it so she could get rid of it.
