Tobias knew that the fan girls on the next table, would no doubt post something online about him. There was always a lot of crap posted about him which just made him look like a jerk. No wonder he got all of the psycho fans. She continued to cry and he felt bad. Sure his dad’s death was a bad time for him but she could have made it better by being there for him. He’d thought she would have been, especially when he’d gotten in contact to ask her advice on flowers, but even then she’d not really wanted to be his friend. ”We just need to draw a line under this Sam, and move on.” He told her his voice gentle but at the same time somewhat firm. He wanted to look after her, and to protect her like they were close again, but he knew it wasn’t really his place. She had other people that could look after her.
He wasn’t sure if he really wanted to hear that she’d loved him and cared about him in the same way he’d loved her. ”Yeah but… I was just filling a gap, because you could have told me that you wanted more. You were the one that set the boundaries in the first place.” He told her almost sulking but mainly because things were so much of a mess. ”Yeah our friendship is ruined. It wouldn’t have made a difference if I told you that I was in love with you, would it?” He asked her, wondering if an admission would have made her stop and think and love him back then. He smiled at her and sighed, before allowing his head to drop in to his hands. He ran his hands through his hair and sighed again before looking up at her. ”You’ll find someone, your one of a kind. And me… I’ll just keep on doing what I do best… screwing people over.” He rolled his eyes and smiled loosely, not that he was necessarily happy with the way life had turned out for him but he just wasn’t sure how to stop himself from being so self destructive.
Toby watched her as she spoke about the mystery man that she obviously liked. Toby raised an eyebrow as she told him who it was. ”Is that the one that looks like a girl? Well actually like a cross between a crow and a girl.” He asked knowing who the guy was. He had heard rumours that the whole band screwed each other after their sets and he was convinced that it was true. ”Hate to break it to you Sammy but I think he’s gay. I think he literally screws his band mates.” He shook his head a little, trying to deliberately put her off. He knew it wouldn’t work but it was worth a try anyway.
She suggested that there were other guys trying to sleep with her and he cocked an eyebrow, ”Yeah but surely I’m your first choice… I was your first choice, that’s got to stand for something, and you know I’m totally sex deprived.” He told her laughing slightly. She denied his help and he was a tad offended, she’d have talked it through in the past, she’d have asked for his advice… but now, well they were living completely separate lives. So he decided to play her back at her own game. ”Yeah so my ex Lexi’s on tour. I think she might want to get back with me.” He told her, making up a story to try and make her jealous given he’d not actually spoken to Lexi for three years, and while he’d seen her from a distance he’d avoided her like the plague.

Samantha looked at him and nodded. “I know.” She sat straight in her chair and wiped her eyes. She was done crying. She didn’t need to anymore. She ran her fingers under her eyes, cleaning up whatever makeup was left. She had a feeling that she was going to have to fix it later, but for now…it was fine like this. “I’ll move on finally, once we get rid of it. It’s been eating at me ever since that moment.” She had regretted it, but at the same time…she didn’t. She was sure that if she didn’t do that with Toby, she wouldn’t have been able to do half the photo shoots she’s done now. Especially that one with PlayBoy. That would’ve definitely not have happened, if she wasn’t comfortable enough to be naked in front of a camera. Underwear was one thing and never bothered her.
She sighed and closed her eyes. She didn’t want to talk about this anymore. They couldn’t go back in time and admit their love for each other and begin dating. Who knows how they would’ve ended up if they actually dated and the tape was never seen? She had gone over it a ton of times in her head, but she couldn’t change anything. Besides, she liked where she was now, even if that meant losing Toby as a friend. Her life was great now. She looked at him after a moment.
“Okay…so I set the boundaries. You could’ve disagreed with them and suggest something else. You know how easily persuaded I was back then. Maybe we would’ve actually date. You don’t know. It might’ve. Actually…I’m pretty sure it would’ve. You were the first guy I actually had strong feelings for. So, obviously it would’ve mattered big time.” She watched as his head fell into his hands and then back at her. She smiled slightly at his words and then rolled her eyes at what he said about himself. He had always been like that and it always bothered Sam. But she knew there wasn’t really much that she could do about it. She was never one for changing people.
After she told him about Cale, she immediately regretted that decision. She rolled her eyes and smiled. “Uh yeah,” she laughed, “That’s him…I guess.” Sure, she’d heard others ask if Cale was a girl or a boy, but that was always from people that weren’t actually fans of the band or just didn’t know them. She had known them from the beginning, so she never really thought Cale looked like a girl…or a cross between a crow and a girl, as Toby so nicely put it. She laughed again when he said that he might be gay. “Yeah…he’s not gay, Toby. Bi, sure, but not gay.” She knew that for a fact. She had already been sleeping with him. They were friends with benefits, but her crush had been from before they started. That just increased them in her, and apparently in him, since they had a few dates.
Her eyebrow rose slightly when he spoke. “Yeah, you were my first choice, and if everything was completely okay between us, maybe you’d still be my first,” she said, simply, crossing her legs. “And if you’re so sex deprived, I’m sure there are plenty of girls that would love to have a night with you,” she replied, glancing at the table of fan girls. She knew a lot of the people on the tour did that. She never understood why, but then being on the tour…she did. She had begun doing it. Not with the fans, but with other members of the other bands. When he mentioned his ex, her eyebrow rose. Ex? She didn’t know that he had actually dated anyone. Not that he couldn’t not date anyone. She didn’t care, she just didn’t know.
“Lexi?” She questioned. He said she was on the tour, so she thought for a moment if she knew her. “In ABC? She’s cute,” she smiled. “Sweet too. At least from what I’ve seen. You should go after her if she might want you back.” She knew what he was doing and it wasn’t going to work. She was no longer that easy to get jealous. She had a naïve mind when she was younger, but she had grown since then and knew the tricks guys liked to play. She was going at playing them back on the guy. “And maybe then you won’t be sex deprived,” she stated, with a smirk. He hadn’t been around her in a while. There were things he was going to have to learn.

Tobias looked at Samantha as she cleaned up her make up and he smiled at her. ”Yeah, I know. Its not an issue, we can get rid of it.” He reassured her, wondering why she was so bothered. He’d seen some of the photo shoots she’d done, and he was sure their amateur sex video would be less revealing. But whatever she wanted he would do. Its one of those things you just did for your friends. And he guessed he was allowed to formally call them friends now. He was somewhat pleased that he’d actually arranged this meeting, even if it had raised some things from the past. They could now deal with them and move on.
He’d considered their situation over a million times in his head up until he’d started dating Lexi, but really this was the first time he’d thought about it since then. ”Yeah well at the time I was happy. I was getting sex with my best friend, and it was good. I didn’t plan to fall for you, and I didn’t plan to make you feel uncomfortable.” He shrugged, sighing a little. ”I just didn’t think you’d care…” He smiled, but that was all in the past and he wasn’t in love with her now. He still had some feelings for her; but that was expected. You always retained feelings for people who you considered to be your first proper love; even if they weren’t the love of all time.
He laughed as she confirmed his description. ”But he’s so odd looking. He’d gotta be obsessed with the dead or something because he looks like Edward Cullen’s worst enemy; a cross between Edward Scissorhands, a crow and a dead girl.” He continued shrugging his shoulders. He wasn’t really being awful he was just being… observant… creative… whatever it was, he was doing it. He raised an eyebrow as Sam confirmed that Cale was bi. ”So the rumours about him are true. He bums his band. And you presumably.” Toby considered the news and sighed, ”Well I think your too good for him. But that’s just my opinion.” He stated in a factual way which would perhaps indicate that his opinion didn’t really count.
Toby raised his eyebrow and he shook his head. ”Yeah but the last time I screwed a fan it was on some online blog, and her mother came looking for me. Total psycho.” He smirked and shook his head. ”I’ll just have to find a sex friend on tour…” He mused, figuring someone out side of his band would be helpful. He was pleased with the reaction he got as he mentioned an ex. ”Don’t be so surprised Sam… I’m a changed man. Although I only ever dated her, and it was three years ago when we broke up.” He considered before smiling a little.
He repeated her name, ”Lexi, yes.” He nodded as she questioned the group she was in. ”Yeah ABC, and she is cute.” He didn’t quite get the response he was after and he had now put himself in a difficult situation if Sam knew Lexi. ”Well I don’t know if she knows she wants me back yet… you see, I cheated on her.” He rolled his eyes and sighed deeply in disappointment. ”Something which I blame entirely on you.” He added, figuring if Sam was his friend he’d have gone to her when he’d found out his father had cancer, rather than get drunk and cheat. Not that Sam would really know that. ”So I think I have a lot of work to do before she’d have me back.”

Samantha looked at Toby and couldn’t help but smile back at him. “Good.” Once it was gone, she could move on with life and maybe work to get her friend back. Of course, that was still going to be hard. Besides, she had a new best friend that had replaced him over the years. And she wasn’t about o replace Della with Toby. She was there for her when she didn’t have Toby. Thing had changed for the best and Maybe her and Toby not being friends was for the best. But she was willing to try and give him another chance.
She laughed lightly and rolled her eyes at him. “You were my best friend, Toby. Of course I cared about you. All you had to do was open that mouth of yours,” she said, brushing some hair back. She never knew that his feelings were so strong back then, and she was usually really good at spotting things like that. She had for her other friends, but she just couldn’t see it for herself. After everything that happened with Toby, she had learned to open her eyes and keep them looking for something that they could’ve had. She would never not care about him. She still did, even if she didn’t love him anymore.
Sam rolled her eyes again. “I happen to adore Edward Scissorhands, thank you very much. And he’s really not that bad. He’s hot with all that makeup on, but he’s better looking when he doesn’t have it on. So there,” she said, sticking her tongue out at him. She always hate people that judged others based on looks. She was always intrigued by other’s choices in appearance. That was what drew her to Cale at first. When she noticed his reaction about what she said, she mimicked him, and rose her eyebrow also. “So? What’s the big deal? I’ve slept with a chick before. Not a big deal. And I don’t mind him doing that either. He doesn’t have bad choices in dudes.” Hell, if he wanted to sleep with a guy, by all means…go right ahead. That didn’t bother her either.
Sam laughed. “Well, I guess that’ll teach you.” When he spoke about finding someone on the tour to sex him up, she nodded. “Won’t be hard to find someone really. Everyone’s pretty horny on this damn tour.” It was ridiculous how bad it was. She smiled and shrugged. “Sorry. You just didn’t seem like one to get into a relationship.” She only knew how he was in the past and it seemed like he just never wanted an actual commitment. And she wasn’t talking about marriage-wise, just a regular, honest, boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. She figured he just wasn’t into that and why she never pursued him.
Sam smiled when she could tell that Toby wasn’t pleased about the reaction she gave him. He needed to learn better than that. She wasn’t easily made jealous, and she didn’t really care. If he wanted to be with Lexi, then be with her. Sam had someone better on her mind. She frowned slightly when he said that he had cheated on the girl. That was not good. Then he said that he blamed it on her, and her eyes widened. “Excuse me?” she said, a bit of more anger rising. She had just calmed down and everything too. “How in the hell was that my fault?!”
