Toby shrugged his shoulders and Sam apologised. ”It’s not like my feelings really matter. We’ve not been friends in so long, you wouldn’t listen to what I had to say back then. You wouldn’t even give me a chance to explain, and I tried. Plenty of times, but you just didn’t want to listen.” He shrugged his shoulders. If he’d uttered the three words that had been on the tip of his tongue all that time ago, then things may have been very different right now. But of course; like most things Toby just buried his head in the sand. He looked up as she confirmed she was happy with the way things had happened, well up until the tape incident. ”Yeah… it was pretty perfect until I screwed up.” He sighed, regretting it again.
He shrugged his shoulders and smiled, ”Yeah and who would have thought that you’d be a fully fledged photographer these days?” He nodded at her confirming his statement. He was proud of her. While he knew she was a good model; gorgeous with an amazing body; there was a different side to her when she was behind a camera. Something he’d help create and he was pleased. It was one of the traits he liked best about her; her creativity.
Tobias nodded and sighed a little. ”Samantha, I didn’t mean it like that. You’re far more classy than Paris.” He told her rolling his eyes. ”I seen your photo shoot. For Playboy. It was good.” He stated, figuring that if she hadn’t have wanted him to see it then she wouldn’t have put it out there. She had no choice really; since you could access it if you had a subscription, which he did. ”I didn’t think you’d ever do a shoot like that…” He told her, his voice a little wary as he anticipated her response.
The guitarist knew he could look a bit out there, but he’d never considered that he looked like a fool. It kind of hurt when she said it and he looked down at his hands, almost inspecting them for something that would never appear. He had always held Sam’s opinion in high esteem, even when they hadn’t really spoken. That’s one of the reasons he’d gotten back in touch with her when his dad died, and he needed advice on what flowers to get for the funeral. She meant the world to him, even now and yet she thought he looked like a fool; it burned his ego. He listened to her try to defend her position and he shrugged his shoulders, he’d dated after her; but Lexi wasn’t exactly a success story and so he wasn’t about to share that with her. ”Well you know me… always prefer to be single. That way you have no ties and you cant get hurt.” He told her; a tinge of bitterness clasping at his vocal chords.
Tobias was so pleased that she’d agreed to meet him. ”I don’t know, maybe tomorrow night? It’ll be the first step to getting us back to being friends.” He smiled, not really figuring that she didn’t want to go or she didn’t want to be alone with him or anything. He was oblivious because right now he was just happy that she’d had this conversation with him. He watched as she drank the drink and then asked for the tape. ”Well I don’t have it on me right now; it’s probably in storage… when my dad died I put a load of stuff in storage. I think it’s in there, so I’ll have to go get it for you.” He shrugged his shoulders figuring she could probably wait a little while.

Sam ran her hand across her forehead and into her hair as he spoke. “I wouldn’t listen to what you had to say because of what happened. I was hurt and angry. I wouldn’t have listened to anything anyone had said to me that day, no matter what it was about. Think about it like this...” she said, brushing her hair back. “Let’s say we were dating at the time and for some reason…I cheated on you, and you walked in on it. Would you listen to anything I’d have to say to you, or would you get really mad and storm out?” Sure, it wasn’t really the same thing that happened to her, but it was bad enough. There was still no reason for his friend to have seen that video, regardless of what Toby had to say in his defense.
When he spoke and sighed, she couldn’t help but frown and sigh as well. “Toby, I don’t want to seem like I’m milking this, but everything was really nice with you, and special. I trusted you with my life and everything in it. And that one silly mistake ruined it all.” She just needed him to see, to…understand. Guys were never as sensitive about things like this as girls were. Especially if they didn’t say someone could see it. Things like that were usually private between the two people that did it, unless they were a stupid two and wanted it all over the internet.
She blushed slightly and smiled. She shrugged slightly, “Yeah…who knew,” she laughed. She was fully enjoying it. Working for the band she loved, getting to just take pictures of them all day and making so many friends. Even meeting Cale. That had to be the highlight of her becoming part of this tour. She was going to really hate it when the tour ended. But hell, she was sure that they could always use a photographer for their band. She’d just leave Neon Lover and work for Injected Hopeless. There…problem solved if her and Cale started to actually date and be together. She smiled slightly at the thought, but shook it off quickly. She didn’t want to think of something so far out of reach. She would be sad if it didn’t happen.
She opened her mouth to retort, but quickly shut it when he mentioned her shoot with playboy. She figured that he’d be someone that got the magazines all the time. She never cared about that. She always thought the photography in them were fantastic. But was he a paying member on the site too? She only did cyber playboy shoots. But then again…if she thought about it, it really shouldn’t surprise her if he was. She crossed her arms, and cocked her brow. “Yeah well…surprise,” she said, pointedly. “I have changed over the years. I like the photography in the magazines and they offered me a nice deal for and ‘Online Exclusive’ shoot. So no one who gets the magazines will ever see them. Besides, that’s much more tasteful than plastering sex tapes all over the internet.” Actresses had done it before, and she didn’t see the harm in it. Her careers were already fantastic. What’s wrong with adding to it?
She frowned slightly at the tone in his voice. She could tell there was something that he wasn’t telling her. But then again, why should he? They weren’t close anymore, so there were obviously things that they weren’t going to tell each other. She had felt a little bad that she said he looked like a fool, but no one cared enough to ever tell him. It was never all the time, only when he was trying to show off with his friends. But apparently he couldn’t see that even when he was acting like a fool, she still cared about him. He was just ignorant and blind. She nodded slightly at his words, though a little insulted with his tone. There wasn’t really anything that she could think of saying back to that. So she just stayed quiet.
Well he had definitely seemed excited about them meeting because he decided to suggest the next night. Well…she was definitely going to have to let Cale know. She wanted him around more anyway. What better time than tomorrow night when Toby wanted to “hang out” the next evening. She gave him a small smile and nodded. “Sure, tomorrow’s good.” Maybe she could have him bring the tape to her for tomorrow night. She wanted to get rid of it as quickly as possible. Then…he spoke again and she frowned at what he said. He didn’t have it on him and it could possibly be in storage. Great. She let out a sigh. “Is there any way you can get it for me soon?” She asked. She didn’t want to wait anymore. She had waited long enough to do what she wanted to do with it. It was killing her.

Tobias wasn't sure what to say, surely this could have all been resolved if they'd just talked about it when it had happened rather than let their emotions build until they exploded. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "Yeah, I get that but I would have been better if things had been laid to rest ages ago. Maybe we'd still be friends." he suggested not really sure if that would be the case since their friendship was a bit more complicated than most. Toby had no valid defense for what happened, it had been an accident but Samantha wouldn't forgive him. Toby hadn't regretted the fact they'd made a video together or the fact that she'd been his first meaningful sexual relationship but he deeply regretted the fact that he'd not been careful. Still at least he'd had the decency to tell her someone had seen the tape; he could have always neglected to tell her given his friend wouldn't have let on- but Sam always seemed to forget about that part.
Sam began to explain her position and he shrugged his shoulders. "No I understand what your saying, I understand that you don't trust me. But it seems that you don't really want to forgive me. It was stupid, and you really don't know how much you mean to me, how much I've missed you." Sam hadn't been his girlfriend and he had no right trying to play the guilt trip but he could see no other way of winning her back. He missed Lexi in a very different way to what he missed Sam, but they were two very different people. He'd loved Lexi very much, but his feelings for Sam had been more intense; mainly because she'd been his best friend before anything else. Now he was alone and he'd turned himself into a manipulative selfish womanizer, something he was well known for around the tour.
He could tell by her smile that she was thinking about something else, it made him sigh. He had no idea who she was now involved with and in all fairness he wasn't sure he really wanted to know. "You seeing someone?" He asked her curiously, wondering what was going on in her mind. He just wanted her to be happy, no matter how unhappy it made him.
Tobias was an online member of the playboy magazine, mainly because he'd hooked up with one of their models last summer and he'd wanted to show his friends how hot she'd been. Then when he come across the photographs of Sam, he'd been shocked and slightly hurt by the fact he'd found out through his guitar tech, who'd alerted him to the shoot. "Yeah it was a good shoot. You looked amazing." Toby added before running a hand through his hair feeling awkward. He really only wanted to be friends with her again, but the man in his pants wanted to feel her body against his.
The guitarist was keen to restore his friendship with the model, which was the logic bend meeting her sooner rather than later, so she wouldn't have too much time to change her mind. He noticed he sigh and Tobias frowned, "You're only meeting me to get this tape aren't you?" He needed to know even if the truth wasn't what he wanted to hear. "I'll get you the tape as soon as I can Samantha." And he would, the sooner it was destroyed the better. "How about we burn it together?" He suggested, "It'll be like closing that incident so we can move on."

Samantha nodded slightly. She couldn’t help but agree with what he said. If she just listened to him that day, she would’ve seen everything as just a mistake and maybe they’d be back to normal. But she just didn’t want to. She still didn’t. She knew how she could be with Toby. She was always just so relaxed with him. She’d end up doing something stupid and regretting it later on. “Yeah, maybe,” she said, looking down to her hands on the table. She did just want to forgive and forget, but she wasn’t going to make this that easy for him. She couldn’t. Then it would be almost like he won. What, she wasn’t sure, but she wasn’t about to give it to him. It was his stupid mistake that ruined their friendship. He was the one that needed to suffer. She knew that he could’ve not told her anything and gone on with his life, but that would’ve been worse and she wouldn’t have even agreed to meet him if he had done that.
Her eyes narrowed. “Well why should I want to forgive you, Tobias?!” she asked angrily. “I don’t have to want to forgive you.” She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath and let it out slowly, calming herself. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked back at him. Just talking about this got her all worked up and she hated it. This was why she never thought about it. Ever. She didn’t need it to distract her from her work, whether it was her modeling or taking pictures of her band. It was just not a good thing to think about when she was trying to concentrate on anything. She was just glad that she had these other guys to distract her from her thoughts. They always made her feel better and it didn’t always have to be in a sexual way. Just hanging out and drinking with them, she was happy.
“What?” She asked, caught a little off-guard by his question. “Uh, no… Ehh, well…kinda, but that doesn’t concern you. So don’t worry about it.” She was thinking more of how the next night was going to go, when she had Cale just randomly show up. That was going to be the highlight of her night. He knew what Toby did to her, and he didn’t care if it was an accident or not. And that made her crush on him even more. They weren’t even dating and he cared about her. He was so cute.
She just shrugged. “Thanks.” That was all that she said. She wasn’t ever planning on telling him. She never found a reason too. Sure, when she was offered the shoot she was really excited and told most of her friends. Including Cale and Eli. She wasn’t about to go blab to anyone of no importance, i.e. Toby. She knew he’d see it eventually. And low and behold, he did. It didn’t bother her. She was proud of that shoot. She had done racy pictures before but this was pushing it. She figured she’d give it a shot and it came out fantastic. She was sure that they’d want her again at some point for another one. She was just going to have to wait for that offer.
She crossed her arms and stared right at him. “So what if I am? It’s just as much mine as it is yours. Besides, you’re lucky I even showed up. I was fighting with myself earlier on whether or not I should show. So you should be flattered,” she spat. She scrunched her nose at his words. She hated waiting. She didn’t want to wait any longer. She was sick of waiting. She’d waited long enough for this moment, that she still didn’t want to happen. Her eyebrow rose slightly. “Uh, okay? I guess we can…“do it together” if you want,” she said, slightly confused. “Whatever you’d like. As long as the bloody thing’s gone, I’m happy.” This headache was going to end.

Tobias was pleased that she was finally agreeing with him, it all really made sense what he was saying but realistically it was in the past and he shouldn’t dwell on it. He wondered why he so regularly got himself into these situations whereby he was hurting people he cared about, and ending up in a situation where he had to keep apologising. It just didn’t make sense, well, not to him anyway. He suspected it was some way of self defence; to stop himself from getting hurt, which resulted in him hurting others instead. It didn’t make a lot of sense but perhaps to a psychologist it would. He’d been offered psychological support when his dad had died, but he never took it. Maybe he should have, given his life was pretty screwed up. Both of his parents were dead, his brother was in and out of prison and rehab- they hadn’t spoken since their father’s funeral, and then there was Tobias. Constantly screwing up good things in his life. He just had to make sure he didn’t screw up in the band.
Toby raised his eyebrows slightly surprised at what Sam was saying. ”No you don’t have to want to forgive me, but it often bloody helps.” He retorted abruptly. ”You should want to forgive me because our friendship outweighed the one fucking stupid mistake I made all those years ago.” He was feeling irritated by her arrogance and he felt it was pointless sitting here, trying to grovel, trying to have her forgive him if she had no intention of doing so. ”Your obviously, pissed off about everything. You’re obviously angry, so why don’t you just shout at me, get it off your chest and forgive me.” He suggested, bitterness running through his voice. Tobias ran his hand through his hair and sighed deeply. He was becoming frustrated and it just wasn’t good for his mood, or for hers.
Sam was caught a little off guard and it made Toby smirk. ”Yeah I guess not. Why would I worry if your seeing someone? It doesn’t concern me. You’ve just said.” He started to be difficult because quite frankly he didn’t know how else to be with her. It was obvious she didn’t want him in her life by the way she was responding and so he leaned back in his chair and folded his arms across his chest. ”Why are you being so difficult with me Sam? I’m trying here. I’m trying to apologise and I’m trying to get us back on track and it just kind of feels like you don’t want to.” Tobias was just going to be honest with her because he had nothing else to give her.
She didn’t seem interested in his feedback for her about her photo shoot, and it was at that moment he realised she probably wasn’t interested in anything he had to say. It made him feel disappointed, and angry. But he wasn’t about to let his temper go right now; he’d wait and kick off later tonight after his gig. Probably start a fight to make him feel better. Sam stared at him and he laughed as she told him he should be flattered. ”Did you honestly just say that? I should be flattered… sorry your royal highness I forgot the fucking red carpet.” He retorted shaking his head in disbelief. She was starting to bug him; her attitude towards him just wasn’t right.
He sighed and decided to give up on this war they were having. It really was pointless. He moved his chair back next to hers and lowered his voice. ”Sam look. I was in love with you back then. I’d have never done anything to deliberately hurt you. I want to be friends again.” He told her, his eyes staring intensely into hers as he leant in and kissed her, slowly at first and then a bit more passionately. He pulled away, ”Or we could just have angry sex.” He smiled, aware that the fan girls were trying to take pictures when he kissed her. .

Samantha let out another soft sigh. She didn’t want to fight with him anymore. She did want to forgive him, but she was being so stubborn with it. In her brain, there was a war going on. Half of it was that her fight was still good and made total sense, the other half was screaming at her to just give up and forgive him. That it was pointless to go on like this. It was hard, since she agreed with both sides. She still had to fight for it, but at the same time, it was beginning to feel stupid. She heard the bitterness in his voice and it hurt a little bit. She didn’t want him angry at her. He had never been angry with her, so it was a bit of a surprised. And it stung. She didn’t like it. “I don’t want to shout at you,” she muttered. “I…can’t.” She turned her head away and looked out the window. Not looking at anything particular, just something to help her get her mess of thoughts straightened out somehow.
She glanced back over at him when he spoke and frowned at his words. She knew that tone. She had heard it many times before, but she never thought it would be towards her. Ever. He was beginning to be just as difficult as she was. Wonderful. At his question, she ran her hand down her face and down to her neck, rubbing the back of it. This whole stupid fight was beginning to give her a headache. “I’m not trying to be difficult. It just shouldn’t be that easy,” she said, looking away again. “I’ve already forgiven you,” she admitted. “You’ve been forgiven for years; I just never wanted to admit. Or have to say it out loud.” Her eyes dropped to the table again, her head fell slightly, and her hair surrounded her face. She felt horrible for sitting here this entire time, arguing with him when in truth, she had already forgiven him.
She groaned. “God, why must you be such an ass?” she said, angrily. She raked her right hand into her hair, gripping it tightly for a moment, before letting it go. She shook her head, fixing her hair and looked at him. “I’m sorry, okay? I just…got frustrated. I’m sick of arguing, Toby. I really am. It just feels like…I’m giving up and just giving you what you want. I know that sounds harsh, but it’s true. When you told me your friend saw it…it…it broke my heart, Toby,” she said, looking up at him through her eyebrows. She had never told him how she had felt about him or anything all those years ago.
She picked her head up when she heard him move back next to her. She looked at him with wide eyes when he spoke and they filled slightly with tears. “Toby, I…” her voice cracked slightly as she tried to get out what she wanted to. She closed her eyes and took one last breath, before looking back at him, “I loved you too,” she finally admitted. When he kissed her, she couldn’t help but be shocked. She wasn’t expecting anything like that. Not now at least. She gave in and kissed him back, letting it get passionate. When he pulled away, she opened her eyes and just stared at him. She smiled slightly at his words, but then reality hit her. She pushed him back slightly and shook her head. “No. No…I can’t,” she replied. This was what she was afraid of. This was why she needed Cale to meet up with her the next night when she was going to meet with Toby.

Toby was losing patience. He was losing the desire to fight for something that she obviously didn’t want to give him. He was tired of being argued with, and spoken to as though everything he did was wrong. He’d made one stupid mistake and she couldn’t forgive him. It was understandable, but frustrating. He sighed somewhat disappointed with the whole situation; debating whether or not to just stand up and walk out, but she told him she didn’t want to shout at him. ”Yeah? And why’s that? You think the silent treatment works better, because all it’s doing is pissing me off.” He complained before shaking his head angrily.
Tobias laughed bitterly. ”Why shouldn’t it be easy? People say sorry and forgive each other all the time.” He complained but as she admitted that she’d already forgiven him he frowned. He didn’t understand it, how could she have forgiven him and continue to play these ridiculous mind games with him? ”What the fuck? Are you seriously sitting there telling me that we’ve not been friends because you’ve been too damn proud to say anything?” He ran a hand over his hair and sighed. ”Well that’s a fucking joke isn’t it? Shows how much you missed me. How could you be so damn manipulating?” Toby asked her, his voice stricken with confusion and anger.
He ignored her comment, in his opinion he wasn’t really being an ass, he was just being himself. ”Your not giving me anything Sam. I’ve lost this battle; I lost my best friend. It’s gonna take years to repair this.” He told her; having calmed down. He rested his head in his hands and contemplated her words. ”I’m sorry… least I’d told you. I could have just not said anything and you’d have never found out. But I cared about you, more than you’ll ever know and I thought you deserved to know.” Toby was feeling tired of this argument, how much sorrier could he be?
The truth had to come out and as he told her that he’d loved her, he frowned gently as her eyes filled with tears. Her voice cracked and he half expected her to tell him off for having those sorts of feelings but as she admitted she’d loved him too he smiled. ”So why are we in this mess?” He shook his head and as their lips met he felt content. She kissed him back; and for a moment or two he thought that things could work out. He pulled away and just stared into her eyes as she smiled at him. But then reality hit home and she denied him. ”Okay… why not?“ It was a fair question, and he expected an honest answer. ”Were not seeing anyone, and we had amazing sex. There’s obviously still a spark; people who don’t have a spark; don’t kiss like that.” Toby responded.

Sam looked at him and just shook her head. “I’m sorry. I just don’t want any more of a scene then we already have. Not everyone needs to know our business,” she replied, simply. She didn’t want to be mad at him anymore and she knew she was just going to have to let everything go. She still wasn’t able to, but she had to try. For her sanity, at least. All her thoughts of everything from the past was killing her inside. She had to make sure she was around people so she wouldn’t get caught up with her thoughts.
She frowned at his words and dropped her gaze again. She wasn’t sure how else to explain it. Her eyes filled with more tears, some spilling over and rolling down her cheeks. “It had nothing to do with pride,” she said, looking up at him. “You needed to understand how much it hurt me. I was going to tell you a while ago, but with everything going on in your life, I figured you wouldn’t to be bothered by me, so I just never did. I’ve regretted it ever since.” She paused as she wiped her eyes and sniffled. “I missed you so much, Toby,” she answered. “I wasn’t trying to be manipulating. That’s just cruel,” she muttered.
She tucked some hair behind her ear and sighed. He was right. What she did wasn’t fair to him. She was being a bit selfish with the whole situation. She couldn’t help it. Someone, who she didn’t know or allow, saw her naked and being intimate with someone she cared for. She knew it made sense. Most people would agree with her that it was horrible. “I know that you could’ve not said anything, and I appreciate that you told me. I really am.” She wiped her eyes again. “I’m sorry I was being selfish. I should’ve just told you when I wanted to. I was just being too stubborn,” she sighed.
She was so upset. Mostly at herself now that everything was out in the open, but she did feel relieved that he finally knew how she had felt about him all those years ago. She gave him a small smile. “Because we’re both stupid?” she said, a laugh escaping her lips. After they had kissed, she could feel her stomach knot up, and nerves filled her. She hated herself for it, but he was the first one she really had feelings for. And it didn’t even have anything to do with the fact that he was her first. She was just always comfortable with him. When he questioned her, her frown deepened. “I understand that, Toby. But this guy…I really really like him and we’ve been spending lots of time together. I loved you years ago. I want the chance to possibly love him and I can’t have this,” she said, gesturing at the two of them, “distract me.”

Toby rolled his eyes, talk about not making a scene... It was exactly what had happened. He'd been begging for her forgiveness, in front of some fans, it wasn't exactly a good look for him, but maybe she'd done it so he embarrassed himself, maybe... "Yeah and neither do I." he stated somewhat bitterly. He just wanted them to move on, and deal with their future friendship, if there was such a thing. He sighed a little in frustration and ran a hand quickly over his hair.
Tobias listened carefully as to what she was saying, and a light frown fell across his brows. "Do you mean you were going to tell me then my dad died? Cos I could have done with a friend then... I done it all myself. I understand how much I hurt you. But you just gotta let it go Sam." He urged her gently, he hated to see her crying. It was utterly awful but he didn't want to comfort her, because he knew she'd push him away. He nodded as she claimed she'd missed him. He missed her more than she knew it.
He accepted her apology and didn't gloat. "Thanks. And I am really sorry the whole thing happened." he told her, reaching for her hand to squeeze it. They had been very best friends, and perhaps if they'd stayed friends then he'd have not cheated on Lexi because he'd have gone to Sam when he'd found out about his fathers illness. He wasn't sure but all he knew was that he'd been pretty self destructive the last few years.
He smiled, "Yeah well, I didn't want to tell you because I knew I was just filling a gap till you met some guy who you'd love as much as I loved you." Tobias had always been arrogant but he'd never had fantastic self esteem when it came to non-superficial relationships. He knew he was good in bed and he knew that he was reasonable when it came to the looks department but he didn't think that any one could really love him. He questioned her and the truth came out. He nodded and smiled, "Okay... Who is he?" wondering if the guy she liked was actually available. If not he could always help steal the girls attention, to free up the guy for her. "So long as your happy... But remember I'm always up for sex with you. And if you need me to help you, or have words with him, you know I'm good for that" He stated reverting back to the way he had been years ago, although it was evident that he was a little disappointed.

Sam knew it was kind of silly to say what she did. They had pretty much already made a scene and she knew it. She just didn’t want to make it louder. They didn’t need a loud scene. That was worse than just arguing quietly back and forth. At least if they were quiet, nobody could post their conversation online. She didn’t want that at all. It would hurt them both, and neither of them needed it. Toby, more than her. She read about him online all the time. He was always getting himself into trouble or doing something that got himself noticed.
When he frowned, she knew her decision wasn’t the best, but there was nothing she could do about it now. Her gaze dropped again. “I know,” she said, quietly, tears still rolling down her cheeks. “It wasn’t my best idea, and I’m truly sorry for that.” She wiped her eyes as she looked up at him and gave him a slight nod. “I know I do, and I’m sure I will…” she gave him a weak smiled and wiped some stray tears. She was sick of crying over him. She never even dated him and she cried over him more than anyone she did date. That was how you knew she really cared about him. No one was more important to her than him.
Her small smile grew and she let him squeeze her hand, squeezing it back. It was still going to take some time before she could truly trust him again, but it was better than not having her best friend with her. She knew Cale wasn’t going to be very pleased, but she wasn’t going to let that bother her. He could hate Toby all he wanted, as long as she was with him, she didn’t care who he hated. She’d probably just ignore people that he disliked. She pretty much already did. She wasn’t going to let them bother her either. They weren’t important, unless Cale was doing something stupid to them.
“You weren’t just filling a gap, Toby. We had just…agreed on what that was. Neither one of us wanted to ruin our friendship with dating,” she replied. “It never works like that with friends. Granted…our friendship was ruined, but that was because a completely different reason.” She let out a sigh and smiled again. “I doubt there ever will be a guy that will love me as much as you did, but I hope to find one that will try.” It wasn’t a lie. What her and Toby had was fantastic. Now all she needed was to find someone who she could do the same thing with, but be able to call her boyfriend.
When he asked who it was that she liked, she bite the corner of her bottom lip. She wasn’t sure if she should tell him. She knew he was going to see him around the ground eventually, never mind the fact that he was going to meet them at the signing tents the next night. “It’s Cale, the screamer of Injected Hopeless,” she said, finally. She waited quietly for him to get angry or something about who she was crushing it. It was always a typical guy thing to do. She knew he was still going to have feeling for her. She still had some feelings for him. So she could tell that he was a little bummed about her not wanting to get involved with him again.
She smiled slightly and rolled her eyes at his words. “Yeah, you and a few others,” she said, with a laugh as she thought about the guys that were trying to get into her pants. She shook her head. “I don’t need your help, and I’m not gonna need you to talk to him. We’re pretty much on the same page. …For the most part.” She was even still working on finding out his past. Something serious had happened to him to keep him so reserved about everything. She knew she just had to get him drunk enough to open up and tell her everything. He already knew a few things about her, it was only fair for her to know what happened with him.
